Twos

At two years old, children are typically exploring their ability to make decisions for themselves.  Our Twos teachers work thoughtfully and carefully to facilitate and encourage their students’ growing independence and creativity, constructing their curriculum based on students’ demonstrated interests.  The classroom is thoughtfully curated to allow students to develop their skills in open and imaginative ways.  We aim to support our students not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well, by incorporating:

  • Curricular activities that support growth in all developmental domains, with a special focus on expanding language

  • Different classroom areas, including dramatic play, sensory exploration, block building, art centers, tabletop manipulative toys, and an in-class library

  • Opportunities to make decisions designed to further encourage student independence and creativity
